Everyone is invited to participate in any of these activities. The fellowship of caring makes these activities a significant part of our spiritual enrichment.
“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”—Acts 20:35
Brunswick stew has been a tradition in North Carolina and with Center Church for over 100 years. Every year in the Fall, a special kind of fellowship takes place in the wee hours of the morning around the big black pots behind Center Church. It is a heart-warming time to see the men, women, and the youth of Center Church working together in service as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.
Center UMC Stews are typically held the last weekend of the month in September and October.
